Three ways we work with organisations
Group training
A course for your team, built on our standard public speaking course and adapted to your people. One or two days: two days give the full course, with four filmed practice runs per person. Advanced and specialist modules can be added to either.
One-to-one coaching
Coaching for a leader with a keynote, a major presentation or a bigger role ahead. Every minute goes on what matters to that person, with many more rounds of practice and feedback than a group can give.
Presentation consulting
When content or visuals are letting a speaker down, our consultants help build the presentation itself: messages and positioning, structure and narrative, scripting, slides and information design. We can join the team for the whole project or advise at the start and polish at the end, and we can coach the presenters through the rehearsals.
How in-house training works
1
Tell us what you need
A 30-minute call is usually enough. We ask who will be trained, what they speak about and what you want to be different afterwards.
2
We send a proposal
Within a few days you receive a written proposal: programme, coaches, format and fee. It starts from our standard course, with any advanced or specialist modules your people need.
3
We build the programme
Once you confirm, we build the day around your people. Participants bring talks they will actually give, so the training improves a real presentation as well as their skills. Every coach is briefed before day one.
4
We deliver and report
On site anywhere in the world or live online, in many languages. Short practice runs are filmed and replayed with a coach, and every participant is coached individually. Afterwards you receive a written report on each person and on the team, with recommendations for next steps.
What we can include
Every programme draws on one method and one library of modules, so whatever we build for you is consistent, tested and taught the same way by every ISOC coach.

Our one-day course
Our one-day course gives your team the core of our flagship public speaking course in a single focused day. Each person gives three filmed practice runs on talks they will actually give, each one replayed and coached, so they leave with stronger skills and a stronger version of a real talk.
How you come across
Presence that is authentic to each person, body language that supports what you say, and ways to own the room and connect with any audience.
Before you speak
Practical tools from performance psychology that put you at your best: a pre-speaking routine of your own, a way to turn nerves into energy, and rehearsal that works.
What you say
Clear messages, a structure that makes a talk easy to follow and quicker to prepare, and language and voice that bring it to life.
The two-day course gives every topic more time and adds a fourth practice run, plus modules on energy and confidence and on slides.
For senior leaders
For a senior team we adapt the programme thoroughly: less time on fundamentals, more on presence, executive impact and practice on the talks that matter most, led by a senior coach who has worked with ministers and chief executives. Many senior leaders prefer one-to-one coaching, where every minute goes on their own goals, and we often combine the two.
Results you can see
People leave with their own pre-speaking routine, structures that make preparing a talk quicker and the experience of several filmed runs, each one better than the last. Most of all, they leave looking forward to speaking. Your coach assesses each person during the programme, and afterwards you receive a written report on each individual and on the team, with strengths, progress and recommendations, so you can see how far each person has come and plan what to do next.
Our work in public speaking
Our consultants and coaches have also worked behind the scenes on high-stakes presentations, including the launch of an interplanetary space mission, a successful pitch to a head of state for approval of a $20 billion infrastructure project and two successful pitches for multi-billion-dollar transport projects.
Samsung: presentation and pitching training across the business
We trained more than 30 Samsung staff from sales, marketing, engineering and customer service in five courses in little more than a year, from filmed presentation and pitching to an advanced programme on influencing an audience.
Sony: one-to-one coaching in presentation and public speaking
We coached the general manager of one of Sony’s regional businesses one to one, after the business had placed a member of its team on our intensive media relations seminar.
HSBC: public speaking coaching for the chief executive of one of its banks
We coached two of HSBC’s most senior executives one to one in public speaking and presentation: the chief executive of one of its banks and that bank’s head of retail banking and wealth management.
Maserati: public speaking and presentation for 16 of its people
We trained 16 of Maserati’s people in public speaking and presentation, in a year in which we also media trained its managing director and trained its communicators from 10 countries.
NATO: chairing and moderating panels for its Engagements Section
We ran a workshop in chairing, moderating and facilitating panel discussions for up to 25 staff of NATO’s Engagements Section, with practice built on a multinational seminar scenario written for the section.
European Central Bank: presentation training for its banking supervision inspectors
We trained a team of the Bank’s banking supervision inspectors in presentation and public speaking in London with a BBC business presenter, and gave management an assessment of each inspector’s readiness to speak in public.
