To get the best possible rate, you might also want to check online booking sites such as www.booking.com or www.hotels.com.

If you prefer to stay elsewhere, the following areas of New Dubai are convenient (ranked from closest to farthest):

  1. Dubai Media City
  2. Dubai Internet City
  3. Dubai Marina
  4. Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT)
  5. Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR)
  6. The Greens
  7. Al Barsha

Low-cost accommodation can be found at the other end of the city in Deira and Bur Dubai but expect to spend up to 45 minutes in a taxi getting to training each morning.

Visas

Getting a visa is quick and easy for most visitors to Dubai. Many nationalities qualify for a free visa on arrival. If you need a visa in advance, the easiest option is to fly in with either Emirates or Etihad, who will process your  application online along with your flight booking. Many hotels will also arrange visas. Otherwise, apply through your local UAE embassy or consulate.
