Sue Rizzello, MCIPR, has 20 years’ professional experience in marketing & PR, gained in agency and in-house. She has a majority focus on B2B technology, standards, software and systems but has broad experience spanning markets as diverse as art, retail, consumer electronics, education, giftware and even Bollywood.
Today she runs Remedy Consulting, an independent business consultancy which helps businesses and business leaders to find their voice and align it to their vision, in order to grow their business. It currently delivers a combination of marketing and business advisory services for clients in the construction and enterprise IT marketplaces.
Sue was managing director of Potion PR & Marketing for eight years: a Thames Valley agency which delivered EMEA marketing, PR and content services to innovation – led growing businesses and blue chip companies in a range of markets. Clients included IBM, Oracle, 20:20 Mobile and CD Networks. In 2014 she led the Speed Communications technology & enterprise team which managed clients including Interoute, Axway, Sugar CRM, The Economist and the Financial Times.
Working with senior executives and entrepreneurs, Sue helps to refocus messaging, reinvent process and rethink strategies for business and commercial success. She is a thought leadership expert and a prolific executive level writer; she worked over the course of six years with Oracle, Cognizant and Cap Gemini to develop white papers, events and marketing campaigns for vertical sectors including banking and insurance, public sector, retail, gaming, justice and others.
Sue was Marketing Director EMEA for Nortel Networks and drove exponential increases in PR results across the region as well as establishing rigorous marketing processes to integrate EMEA activities; she also drove communication around the rollout of 3G and optical networks, R&D, government and EU relations, and latterly oversaw communications around major change and 35k redundancies. Sue directly supported senior executive messaging, media training and speaker platforms, and helped to drive the crisis preparedness process.
Prior to this, Sue worked at various major PR networks including Edelman Worldwide. Earlier clients included HP, Texas Instruments, AMD, Microsoft, IBM, EDS/HP, NCR, Ericsson and Factiva. While at Edelman she led the award–winning global launch of Bluetooth for an IBM/Intel/Toshiba/Nokia/Ericsson consortium, launched the DVD and the Internet Advertising Bureau in Europe.
