This course is a one-week investment in professional development for communication professionals looking to take their career to the next level. You will learn innovative approaches to planning and managing campaigns, creativity in tactics, advanced copywriting, social media engagement and presentation skills.

Course format

Applied Public Relations is a Pinnacle Multi-Skill Programme. This training format covers a range of different PR and communication skills. It is designed to develop fully rounded communications professionals.

This course is modular: each day deals with a distinct topic or discipline, and on each day you will work through four modules, each covering a set of key concepts and skills. Within each module, best practice and key concepts are covered off in a concise briefing, followed by a range of stimulating learning activities like team workshops, group discussions, topical case studies and role-play exercises.

  • Day 1: Essential presentation skills
  • Day 2: Communication strategy design and development
  • Day 3: Planning and managing communication campaigns
  • Day 4: Creative media relations
  • Day 5: Specialised PR copywriting
